So this afternoon a library customer comes up to me at the desk and says, "Where's the pretty young girl who was here?" (She's referring to my colleague, who shall remain nameless).
My response: "She's gone for the day. What can I help you with?"
What I'm thinking: "Will the ugly old lady do?"
Seriously, people - do you think before you speak?!

LOLOLOL Seriously, people don't think before they speak! LOL
No, library patrons have no filters. I work at two different libraries. Some people think I'm brilliant and amazing because I know how to use the alphabet to pull a book off the shelves. Other people think I'm a minion of Satan because I don't let them print reams of paper for free. It's never dull work.
